Avi S. Garbow was most recently General Counsel of United States Environmental Protection Agency from 2013-2017. He has two decades of environmental law experience – in the private and public sectors. From 1992 to 1996, he served in EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. Mr. Garbow also served over ten years as a federal prosecutor in the Justice Department's Environmental Crimes Section, a Special Assistant United States Attorney, and a Special Assistant to the Assistant Administrator for Enforcement at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Garbow has also served as an instructor at the Justice Department's National Advocacy Center. Mr. Garbow is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bars.
